COMMAND PERFORMANCE
The Equus is mechanized by an extraordinary Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) 429-horsepower* V8 engine. The advanced 8-speed automatic transmission delivers steady power in an instant or efficient interstate touring as the driver requests. And a well-balanced, rear-wheel-drive layout gives Equus the infrastructure to perform less like a traditional luxury car and more like a high-performance sports sedan.

BALANCE AND CONTROL
The very basis of Rear Wheel Drive shifts the Equus closer to a more ideal 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution. This means the engine, transmission, driveshaft and rear differential administer better dynamic balance. The larger rear tires and suspension take on their fair share of the workload, providing a smoother, more stable ride and increased handling and traction.

MORE IS STANDARD
A grille and bumper lead the way. Modern HID headlights with LED turn-signal indicators along with LED fog lights and LED tail lights are brilliant touches. The muscular profile is highlighted by 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Luxury and performance have never looked so good.

EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION
On the Equus Ultimate, there's a 9.2-inch LCD for the premium navigation and Driver Information System (DIS) plus a Heads-up Display (HUD). Passengers enjoy a rear-seat control console. And the 598-watt Lexicon® 7.1 Discrete Surround Sound Audio System has more standard speakers than the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S550 or the 2014 Lexus LS 460.

TOMORROW'S ADVANCED SAFETY FEATURES, TODAY
Nine airbags. A Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) system with pre-collision warning that includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC). There's also a Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). Constructing a sheath of safety that extends from you and your passengers to 360 degrees around your car.

SMART CRUISE CONTROL (SCC) WITH STOP/START FUNCTIONALITY
SCC is designed to detect vehicles within a driver-specified range, and automatically perpetuates a consistent following distance. Operating like your usual cruise control when no other vehicles are close to you, radar judges the distance and speed of vehicles in front of you, and accelerates or brakes to help maintain a driver-selectable distance. With stop/start functionality, when the vehicle in front of you comes to a complete stop the Equus will automatically come to a full stop. The Equus will then automatically begin to start moving again, if the vehicle ahead starts moving forward within three seconds.

THE VIEW FROM ABOVE AND MORE
For increased visibility, safety and security, Equus offers a Multi-view Camera System presenting four cameras that give a 360-degree view around the vehicle. Initially, the system provides an aerial view. Front, rear and side camera views may also be selected. All views are displayed on the central in-dash navigation screen at low parking speeds. At higher speeds the view changes to navigation mode.

KEEPING YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD
Never miss a thing. With Heads-up Display (HUD), your vehicle's most important information is conveniently projected directly onto the surface of the windshield. The Equus Ultimate features advanced competence in Heads-up Display mode and information items can be turned on or off at the driver's discretion. Monitor vehicle speed, turn-by-turn navigation, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Smart Cruise Control (SCC)-in real time, and never take your eyes off of the road.
