Tires can withstand a lot – but they aren’t completely indestructible. However, with proper care, you can drastically increase their lifespan. We’re answering our frequently asked questions about Hyundai tires at Hall Hyundai Elizabeth City to help you care for yours.

Why Is My Tire Pressure Light On?

Your tire pressure light alerts you if you have low pressure, so you’ll want to check your tires first. However, if your tires are fine, it could be an issue with your tire sensors, or they need to be reset.

Do Tires Have Warranties?

Typically, new tires come with warranty coverage (from the tire manufacturer) for four to six years. Make sure you review the details of your warranty to ensure your tires get the maintenance they need to keep your warranty intact.

Do I Need New Tires?

If you notice any of these warning signs, it’s time to replace your tires:

  • Tread depth is below 2/32”
  • Pressure is consistently low
  • There are bulges or cracks
  • They are over six years old

How Often Do I Need to Rotate my Tires?

It’s important to double-check with your owner’s manual to see how often you need a tire rotation. We typically suggest you rotate your tires every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, depending on your driving habits and conditions.

What Does a Tire Rotation Entail?

When we rotate your tires, we change their positions on your vehicle. That can include moving the driver’s side tires to the passenger side or moving the front tires to the back (and vice versa). This helps ensure each of your tires is wearing evenly.
